Kelly Friedman attended New York University where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a minor in Social and Cultural Analysis. She has always been fascinated by people and cultures, so teaching World History in New York City public schools was an exciting opportunity to introduce new information about different civilizations and cultures as well as challenging students in their critical thinking. She was awarded tenure in her fourth year of teaching and completed a Master of Arts degree at Stony Brook University the following year. Growing up, her interests included playing classical piano, soccer, musical theater, and modern dance. Nowadays, Kelly enjoys hiking around the various mountain ranges around Tokyo and enjoying the spiciest food she can find.
